So today, I am going to tell you 15 steps which will help you create Successful Facebook Ads.
So let’s get right to it!
Create a Facebook Page
The first thing that you need to is to create a Facebook Page for your business.
Well, for starters, it is necessary to have a page in order to run an ad or else you will not be able to run it.
Secondly, a page represents the legitimacy of your brand.
So create a Page of your business, add an attractive profile picture like your logo or anything.
And also add a cover photo and that’s it, your page is ready.
Build an Audience
Once you have created a Facebook page, the second step is to build an audience.
This thing will also help you in long run.
Because if you have an audience, then whatever post you will create regarding your business it will appear on your audience’s wall.
So in that way, you will be doing a promotion of your products by just posting on your page.
To build an audience, you will need to share your page on different but related Facebook groups, invite people from your friend list and ask them to invite theirs.
Do marketing of your page on other platforms like Reddit, Pinterest and some related forums and you will start to build an audience.
Keep posting on that page
Once you have a page an audience, you need to fill your page with different posts.
I know that these first three steps are not directly related to FB ad Creation.
But, these 3 things are must if you want people to buy your product.
Because, when people will come to your page through your ads, they will see that your page has a decent audience and a good amount of posts, they will get the impression that you are a professional business and definitely a legit one.
So keep posting different things on your page like your product’s information with pictures or some other relevant material.
Keep in mind that you will need to know the schedule of your page’s audience meaning which time it is most active.
Keep posting at different times of the day. And whatever time your post gets most interaction, note that time and post more at that time.
If you find it complex and tiring then you can always use a software specially designed to do this task.
That software is Viral Reach Pro, just schedule your posts on this software and forget your page, the software will automatically post on your set timing.
Moreover, it also helps in increasing the reach of your ad campaigns, so that’s a plus.
Start the Ad creation Process:
Now once you are done with creating your page and posting on it, start the process of ad creation.
What you need to do is go to your page, and there, beneath the cover photo, you will see a button with three small dots beside the share button.
Click on that dots button and a drop-down menu will open, click on “Create ad” button and you will be redirected to ad creation page.
Refer the picture below for further illustration.
Set an Objective:
The first page of ad creation is about setting the objective.
In order to create successful Facebook Ads, you will have to select your objective first.
You will see a table like this:
Now there are a lot of different objectives here.
So, first of all, ask yourself why are you creating the ad?
Once you are clear about the purpose of ad select the objective accordingly.
For instance, if your purpose is to let people know about your brand, then choose brand awareness.
If you want leads, select lead generation.
Similarly, if you want to increase sales, select conversions as your objective.
Specify the Objective:
Once you select your objective you will see another box which will ask you to further specify your objective.
For instance, if you select conversions as objective, then a box will appear where you can select the action you want your audience to take like purchases, registrations etc.
Moreover, there will be a column where you can write the name of your campaign, you can give it any name you want and then click on the setup ad account button.
Refer the image below for further illustration:
Set a Pixel:
Once you click on set up ad account you will be redirected to another page, select your country, currency and time zone and click continue.
After that you will be redirected to an Ad set page, there you will find a column for pixel (if your ad objective type supports pixel).
A pixel is a piece of code that is embedded into your add to track how people are reacting to your ad.
It will provide you with the data of people’s actions with your ad, like how many people signed up on your website, how many people clicked on an ad but then did nothing, how many people bought the product etc.
All of this information will be very beneficial for you.
So select the pixel according to your ad type.
If your ad is redirecting to your website then select website.
If you want people to receive a message on Facebook as they click on the ad then select messenger.
And if you have an app that you want to attach to your ad then select the app.
Refer the image below for clarification:
Keep in mind that some objectives do not have a pixel, so if you don’t find a pixel on the ad set page then don’t worry.
It means your ad type doesn’t need a pixel
Build your Custom audience:
Once you set a pixel, scroll down and you will see a box named as “Audience.”
This is where your important work starts in order to create successful Facebook Ads.
Refer the image below:
The section in the picture, is the geographic and demographics section of the audience.
Select the location where you want your ad to be displayed.
And then select the demographics like age, gender and languages.
Once done, you will then scroll down to find the Detailed Targeting section where you can select the audience based on its interests.
Add the keywords similar to your product and Facebook will select the audience who might be interested in your product.
Like if you sell rugby items as well as beer then you can add both of these keywords.
After you are done with this, your audience targeting step is done.
However, if you want more preciseness targeting of your audience then:
Use Precise and Advanced targeting tools
Facebook’s targeting system is somewhat okay, but definitely not good enough.
They do not provide tools for accurate targeting.

And you will get an audience which will be interested in both.
So if you really want to create successful Facebook Ads then you definitely need to use Social Interest Freak.

Use Attractive and Eye catchy Pictures
Images are the most important part in order to create successful Facebook Ads.
The first thing a person sees in an ad is the image.
Do not use some old and blurry images.
Get the images of your product in a high quality that make your product look like it is out of the world.
Use a high-quality camera and capture multiple shots from different angles, then select the picture which is showing your product clearly and depicts quality.
If you have a picture which has text in it, then make sure that the text does not occupy more than 20 percent of the space.
Try to use compelling pictures which quickly grab the attention of your audience and make them click on it.
Make sure to use a picture which perfectly fits in the Ad box, the picture must not be small or large as it may either become pixelated or cropped.
Be careful about what to say and what not to say
When you write the text for your ad, try to make it as unique and catchy as possible.
The first impression is the last impression, keep this in mind and write an attention-grabbing text.
The most successful ads encompass 3 things in them:
- An Attention Grabber
- A sentence or phrase to add value
- One call to action
If your ad has all of these 3 things then you will definitely capture the attention of your audience.
Look at this ad, it is simple yet attention-grabbing, how?
Look first of all they have clearly shown the picture of their product.
Secondly, their text has all 3 attributes of a good ad.
Their first line which says “Receive 50% off for first order” is an attention grabber.
The line below picture “Personalize $120 worth clothes and ship them to your door” adds value.
And lastly, they have a call to action “Use promo code” they are encouraging people to use their service.
This is how a good ad is created.
Allocate a Budget
Once you are done with all your picturing and text writing.
This is the time to set a budget for your Facebook ad.
This is totally up to you.
The more you pay them, the more they will run your ad.
But remember your goal, if you want to achieve sales or conversions or anything.
Remember that and then enter the amount you want to be used.
I personally recommend you to start with a $5 ad and see how it works out.
If you are getting a good response then invest more in it.
But you will have to create 3 ads of $5, why?
Keep reading I will tell you in a bit.
Create a Landing Page
The most underutilized tool for digital marketing is a landing page.
They are very effective in capturing a lead.
A landing page is basically a web page which has a signup or subscription form.
Once a person clicks on your ad, he/she will be redirected to that landing page where they will be asked to fill in the form.
Once they fill the form, you will get their contact information which means that you will capture a lead.
Now the question is what type of information should you ask?
Well, don’t ask for much as people may not fill the form because of too many columns.
Just ask for their name, email and phone number.
Use A/B Split Testing
As I mentioned above that you will be needing to create 3 ads initially.
Well, this is the reason “Split Test.”
What you basically need to do is create two more ads with your first ad.
Give the name of the first ad to the second ad but put a different picture.
Now give the picture of the first ad to the second ad but give a different text.
This way you will get to know which ad has the best picture and text so you will use that ad only and delete the other two.
This is an incredible way of knowing how effective your ad is.
Keep displaying that ad with a higher budget and you will definitely get more sales and leads.
Once you have followed all of these steps you will definitely learn to create successful Facebook Ads.
Just make sure to deliver quality to your customers as it is the most crucial aspect to make them your loyal customers.
